Peter Michalko: Port of Baku has important role in Middle Corridor
"It is important to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the field of transit and logistic," said Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko at the opening ceremony of the "Support to the implementation of the Green Port Concept of Baku Port and strengthening of operational capabilities" project, APA-Economics reports.
He added that as the EU, they strive to maintain high standards when cooperating with partners. This includes digital transit, green growth, the economy, and other projects they work on together.
Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan added that he cooperates with the EU partners within the framework of the mechanisms, and uses tools. As an example of this, Peter Michalko talked about the Economic Investment Plan which the EU considered for the Eastern Partnership countries.
The EU diplomat noting that the Baku Port has an important role in the Middle Corridor concept said that they will continue their support in terms of this.
