Student scholarships increased by 20% in Azerbaijan
“Indexation or increase of allowances given to war veterans is one of the priority issues facing the government of Azerbaijan,” the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population said during the discussion of the draft law on the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023 at the joint meeting of Youth and sports, Labor and social policy, Agrarian policy, Regional issues, and natural resources, Energy and Ecology committees of the Milli Majlis.
“The amount in 2019 has been increased by about 40% and is equal to the current amount in connection with the provision of support to disabled people, families of martyrs, and war participants. Over the past period, 21 thousand of war participants and disabled persons were involved in 8800 self-employment programs. 7,000 were employed through the employment marathon and various tools. Student scholarships were increased on average by 20% from this year,” stressed the minister.
